BLS Training for Healthcare Providers
BLS for Healthcare Providers course covers CPR and choking for adults, children, and infants. The course also teaches how to operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) for adults and children over 1 year of age.  BLS for Healthcare Providers is a 4.5 hour course, covering CPR/AED for Adults, Children and Infants, Choking, and all other information in the American Heart Association BLS Curriculum.

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.

The intended audience is healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel. Those who successfully complete this course will receive an AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Card, valid for two years.
