Curt Newport, NREMT, Owner, AHA Regional Faculty-Virginia (BLS), CPR Instructor, EMS Evaluator, Food Safety Instructor
Curt Newport is the Owner of Newport Enterprises. As the Lead CPR Instructor for the most classes, Curt trains hundreds of participants every year in lifesaving CPR and BLS classes. Additionally, Curt supervises a team of instructors, many of whom are actual 911 First Responders, who each bring real life experience and professional acumen to the classroom. Curt carries Instructor and Master Trainer certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI). Additionally, Curt served as Regional BLS Faculty for the American Heart Association in the National Capital Region, before that role was eliminated.
Curt has trained, literally, thousands of people, ranging in rank and tenure from the newest manager to Senior Management and Executive Level Teambuildings. He is an accomplished public speaker, routinely addressing groups of dozens, if not hundreds of participants. Curt is certified to deliver programs from Covey Leadership (Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and First Things First), as well as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, among others.
Curt has been training groups of all sizes since 1995. Curt has also been a Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) since 1998, responding to 911 calls in his community on a BLS or ALS Ambulance, and has also trained as a Reserve Firefighter in California. Curt has served as the Public Relations Officer and Logistics Officer for the Rescue Squad, and currently holds the rank of Assistant Rescue Chief.
Curt is an EMT Evaluator for the Virginia Office of EMS, as well as the Northern Virginia EMS Council.
In his spare time, Curt works as a three-sport high school sports official, in baseball (since 1992), volleyball (since 2007) and soccer (since 2013). Curt also coaches a boys travel soccer team, and handles Public Address duties for a local high school soccer team. Curt also holds a Private Pilot license, and enjoys flying a Cessna 172 around the local area.
Curt and his wife, Leigh, live in Loudoun County, Virginia, with their two sons.

Elizabeth Coberly, MS-Ed, Aquatics Instructor, BLS Instructor
Elizabeth holds Instructor Certifications from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Aerobics & Fitness Association of America, National Swimming Pool Foundation, and many more, and has instructed CPR, First Aid and related courses for more than two decades. She is a former Faculty Adjunct at George Mason University and at Lord Fairfax Community College. Elizabeth has been working in the aquatic industry for over 20 years. During that time, she has worked in nearly every type of aquatic position.
Elizabeth holds a MEd in Recreation Administration from the University of Toledo where she served as a Graduate Assistant in Aquatics and she is a Certified Recreational Sports Specialist through the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association. She is currently working toward a PhD in Recreation and Leisure Behavior with a research focus in Folklore. Elizabeth leads our Aquatics offerings, in addition to teaching CPR. Elizabeth is able to deliver our courses in English and in Spanish.

James has followed his family bloodlines, and is a third generation Firefighter/EMT in Loudoun County. James is also a Heavy Rescue Technician, and a Fire Officer, and currently works as a Firefighter/EMT at Dulles Airport. James teaches CPR and First Aid throughout Northern Virginia,
The Grant Family lives in Loudoun County, with their three children.

Mary Beth Henry, EMT, BLS Instructor, EMT Evaluator
Mary Beth has been a volunteer EMT since 2007, and teaches a variety of BLS, CPR and First Aid courses throughout the Metro Washington DC Area. Mary Beth is the CPR Coordinator at Reston Hospital, and also operates her own business, full time, and lives in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Scott Maurice, EMT, BLS Instructor, EMS Evaluator
Scott has been a volunteer EMT in Loudoun County since 2008, and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant and Crew Chief, supervising over a dozen EMTs and Paramedics providing patient care. Scott is also an EMT Evaluator for the Virginia Office of EMS, and assists in EMT Instruction for the EMT Program at Northern Virginia Community College.
Scott lives in Loudoun County with his family.
Rick Myers, EMT, BLS Instructor, BLS Training Center Faculty
Rick has been a volunteer EMT in Loudoun County since 2008, and currently volunteers one night per week as a first responder in an active rescue squad. Rick is a retired US Navy Officer, and is currently studying law. Rick also serves as BLS Training Center Faculty for Loudoun County Fire Rescue services.
Rick lives in Northern Virginia with his wife.
